My
name is Vadim Timinsky and I’m an internationally
award-winning classical guitarist. I’ve spent
many years learning, teaching and playing the guitar
for a number of people in a variety of venues as both
a soloist and as part of a group.
I began my music career at age six
studying the piano. A few years later I changed instruments
to the guitar under the mentorship of private instructors.
Initially I played various guitar styles, including
rock and pop but found my true love to be classical
music.
I continued my instruction
at the Tallinn Georg Ots Music College with noted Estonian
guitarist, Tiit Peterson. Shortly
thereafter I had my first experience as a performer,
on stage, in the studio and on TV.
After studying in my
native Estonia, I attended the Jerusalem Rubin Academy
of Music and Dance, under Professor Joseph
Urshalmi, where I received a BA in Music.
I furthered
my education with master classes given by esteemed instructors:
Aniello Desiderio (Italy),
Costas
Cotsiolis
(Greece), Thomas Muller-Pering (Germany), Zoran
Ducic (Chorvatia), Haim Asulin (Israel), Tiimo Korhonen
(Finland),
Lilly Afshar (USA), and Bill Kanengiser (USA)
In
2005, I completed my Master of Music in Classical Guitar
Performance at SMU under Professor Robert
Guthrie.
Performing as a soloist and chamber musician
in various guitar festivals in Estonia, Finland, Israel,
Greece
and Germany, I now frequently perform in the
Metroplex at various
venues including Dallas colleges, the Meadows
School of the Arts, libraries, museums, churches, weddings,
private
parties and corporate events. I also continue
to
perform, collaborate and record music with one
of the premier
violinists and entertainers in the U.S., Valeri Glava.
